As an entertainment news writer with a penchant for film analysis, he approaches his writing from multiple points of view to appeal to readers who prefer brevity or deep dives from multiple thematic perspectives. His writings for Albuquerque's daily newspaper ABQ Journal provided him a chance to experience print media and to offer honest reviews of media for local pop culture enthusiasts. Charles' eternal love for writing eventually landed him at Looper, where he enjoys writing about the latest hot takes in anime news or covering the latest procedural drama.
Education
In 2020, Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Southern New Hampshire University; he went on to receive a Master of Humanities degree in film studies from Tiffin University in 2022. His master's thesis explored the role of existential nihilism in 20th-century cinema and anime.
