Zach Laws has worked as an entertainment journalist for more than a decade. He was an Associate Editor and Social Media Manager at Gold Derby, where he covered the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, and other entertainment awards. During that time he interviewed numerous filmmakers and celebrities, and wrote extensively about the history of awards shows and how that informs today's contenders. He is also an independent filmmaker, and his latest short film, "Calzone's Pizza," was financed through a grant provided by the Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum, where it was a finalist.
Education
Zach has a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking, where he majored in film directing.
