Experience

Jason kicked off his writing career over 20 years ago, when he lived in Chicago, working on multiple sketch shows at the Second City Theater. Drawn to Los Angeles by manifest destiny, he quickly had a pilot script he co-wrote, "Speed Bag," produced and filmed by Dakota Pictures. After becoming a finalist for the Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition, he concentrated on churning out more spec scripts, including a collaboration with Dreamworks, before gaining more industry experience as a writer's assistant at Disney Studios. Eventually, he shifted focus to freelance writing for entertainment sites like Collider and Geek Girl Authority.

Education

Jason double majored in Journalism and Theater at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He later completed a "Sit-Com Writing Program" at UCLA.
