Experience

Emily is a writer, editor, and poet from Long Island, currently based in Brooklyn. In 2021, she earned her MFA in poetry from The New School. Her work has been published in Chronogram, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, RHINO Poetry, Half Mystic, and Ocean State Review, among others. Emily also received the 2021 Sappho Poetry Prize from Palette Poetry. Emily has worked in book publishing, entertainment journalism (Newsweek, CBR), childcare, and unemployment. She is also a poetry reader for The Adroit Journal. Emily enjoys estate sales, bad movies, and collecting rocks. Her debut poetry collection, "all the time more than anything," is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press. She wishes she had been a dancer.

Education

Emily has a bachelor's degree in English from SUNY New Paltz and a Master of Fine Arts in poetry from The New School.
