Experience

Mae is an avid consumer of film and television, a passion that led her to work as a production assistant for major streaming services like Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime. After getting experience in front of and behind the camera on "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," Mae has a cross-departmental understanding of the creative process. A bookworm with a fondness for film noir and all things sci-fi/fantasy, Mae's interests run the gamut. As a long-time writer and reader of fanfiction, Mae's love of fandom culture runs deep. Mae was inspired to pursue a career as a freelance writer after an extended period studying travel writing in Europe. In 2018, Mae started her writing career as an editorial intern for her hometown newspaper. She has worked as an entertainment news writer since 2020, penning articles for websites like Netflix Life, Mental Floss, Winter Is Coming, and Floor8.

Education

Mae received her bachelor's degree in communication science from Emerson College, a liberal arts college located in the heart of downtown Boston. She has studied a variety of writing genres, including fiction, non-fiction, scriptwriting, speechwriting, and journalistic writing.
