Emily has dreamed of being an author since she was a 5-year-old making crude drawings and stapling the pages together. From 2010 to 2011, she wrote a column titled "The Nerd Corner" under the name J.L. Rivers for the Lima, Ohio newsletter, The Entertainer. In 2020, she began writing video game news and features for SVG, and later transitioned to writing about TV and movies for Looper.
Education
Emily graduated from the Academy of Art University with an Associate of Arts degree in Motion Picture and Television. Her education has given her first-hand knowledge of how movies and TV shows are made, as well as the impact they have on our everyday lives.
