  • Christian's first pro writing position was as an in-house copywriter at Walt Disney Home Video in Burbank, CA, where he wrote packaging synopsis copy, coming attraction trailers, press releases and related marketing elements and the direct-to-video script "The Making of Mickey's Christmas Carol," which was an added featurette on the home video release of the Oscar-nominated "Mickey's Christmas Carol."
  • Christian is the author of two Young Adult science fiction novels, Zenn Scarlett and Under Nameless Stars, published by Angry Robot Books, distribution in North America by Penguin Random House.
  • Christian has written a breathtaking assortment of freelance content for entertainment brands including Disney, Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros., National Geographic, Time-Life Video, A&E, Saban/FoxKids, Hallmark, Buena Vista Games, THQ games and others.


After graduating with a degree from the School of Journalism at the U of Nebraska, Christian Schoon began his writing career as an in-house writer with the Walt Disney Company in Burbank, CA, followed by over decade as a freelance marketing consultant and scriptwriter working for various TV, film, animation and home video companies in Los Angeles and on the East coast. During that time he wrote and published several science fiction novels as well as scripts for live-action and animated TV, including the Power Rangers franchise, Rick Moranis in Gravedale High, Warner Bros. animated Batman series and others.


Christian has a major in Journalism, with minors in English/Creative Writing, Anthropology and Theatre, giving him expertise in the technical tools for communicating via the written word as well as an appreciation of the importance of a broad-based, liberal arts approach to understanding and interpreting events.
