San Diego Comic-Con 2019: Complete Schedule Of Movie And TV Panels

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 is upon us, and with many studios heading to the famed San Diego Convention Center, it can be difficult to keep track of what all the event has in store. Whether you plan to be right there on the show floor, sitting in crowded convention halls to watch presentations up close and personal, or you're one of the millions of fans who will keep up with the big announcements from behind your computer screen at home, Looper has you covered with the complete schedule of movie and TV panels taking place at this year's San Diego Comic-Con — plus everything else you need to know about the event.

When is San Diego Comic-Con 2019?

Before it officially kicks off, San Diego Comic-Con 2019 will hold a preview night on Wednesday, July 17 that runs from 6 PM to 9 PM PST. Then, the fun continues from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the convention begins at 9:30 AM PST and ends with final panels at 7 PM PST. A few special events take place in the later evening hours. Sunday, the final day of San Diego Comic-Con 2019, ends a bit early — it runs from 9:30 AM to 5 PM PST.

Where is San Diego Comic-Con 2019?

The event is held at the San Diego Convention Center, which is located at 111 W Harbor Drive in San Diego, California. Some special events are held at Fluxx Nightclub, located at 500 Fourth Ave in San Diego, California.

Who will be at San Diego Comic-Con 2019?

Fans can look forward to seeing the minds behind a ton of their favorite movies and TV shows hold panels at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, the 50th anniversary of one of the biggest entertainment conventions there is.

HBO's Game of Thrones is returning for an epic final Comic-Con presentation to celebrate the series' last-ever season, which wrapped in May of this year. The networks sci-fi western show Westworld is coming back as well following an absence at San Diego Comic-Con 2018.

After skipping San Diego Comic-Con last year, Marvel Studios is making a comeback, with Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo taking the stage for "A Conversation with the Russo Brothers" in the hallowed Hall H, where they will "reflect on Endgame and their epic road to it as they segue into life beyond Marvel with their new company, AGBO, which happens to include an exciting array of new and old creative friends." Collider editor-in-chief Steve Weintraub is moderating the panel, where we may or may not hear about Marvel's plans for its Phase 4 movies.

Unfortunately, a few huge film studios are sitting out for San Diego Comic-Con 2019: Sony, Warner Bros., and Universal.

This means that we won't hear anything about Sony's upcoming slate of films — including Zombieland 2: Double Tap (release date: October 18), the Charlie's Angels reboot (November 15), the new version of The Grudge (January 3), Bloodshot (February 21), Fantasy Island (February 28), or the Jared Leto-topped Marvel Comics adaptation Morbius (out on July 31, 2020). Sony does have two huge movies to focus on promoting this month – Spider-Man: Far From Home and Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood — so we can understand why the studio would pass on appearing at this year's Comic-Con.

With the film arm of Warner Bros. skipping San Diego Comic-Con 2019, there will be no announcements or reveals for the studio's in-development DC movies. Don't expect to hear a peep about Joker (release date: October 4); Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) (out on February 7, 2020); Wonder Woman 1984 (hitting theaters June 5, 2020); Matt Reeves' The Batman (June 25, 2021) that stars Robert Pattinson; or James Gunn's The Suicide Squad (August 6, 2021). The bright side is that Warner Bros. is bringing its television shows to San Diego Comic-Con 2019, so there's still something for DC fans to get excited about.
