Casey is an entertainment writer specializing in film and television, covering everything from awards-driven dramas and important documentaries to geeky sci-fi, to blockbuster hits. She started her entertainment writing career with a blog called "OMGWTF Lost" and has been typing away about every little details in everything she watches ever since. After getting her Master's, she joined the team at IndieWire as an assistant editor, then moved on to being a Film Features Writer at Bustle. She now freelances for Looper, TIME, and other outlets at DotDash/Meredith. She has interviewed major actors, directors, and filmmakers in the entertainment industry, has written reviews and essays for film and television, and has covered film festivals around the world. She has bylines at The New York Times, The New York Daily News, Filmmaker Magazine, Salon, Slate, Vulture, Refinery29, Screen Rant, and The Mary Sue.
Education
Casey earned a Bachelor's Degree in Theater and Cinema Studies from Northeastern University in Boston, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Years later she returned to school in NYC to earn a Master's Degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism where she focused on Arts and Entertainment Journalism.
