Men In Black: International Photos Offer First Look At New Aliens

Say hello to some seriously freaky alien agents.

Just a day after unveiling hot plot details for Men in Black: International, plus a pair of on-set snaps and one of the coolest magazine covers we've ever seen, Entertainment Weekly revealed the first look at the new aliens featured in the forthcoming film, directed by Straight Outta Compton and The Fate of the Furious helmer F. Gary Gray.

Released as part of the outlet's latest cover story, the photos show off four unique extraterrestrials with whom Tessa Thompson's bursting-with-potential Agent M and Chris Hemsworth's "charming and legendary" Agent H, "one of the greatest to ever wear the suit," will interact as they journey around the world to locate a mole hiding within the Men in Black ranks. Their mission veers off into an unexpected direction when "an emissary from a powerful alien government is killed on H's watch" — meaning that there might be more bad guys to beat down in International than there have ever been in a Men in Black movie before.

Such scum of the universe include creepy, villainous extraterrestrials like the Worm Aliens — producer Walter F. Parkes previously teased, "Don't be surprised if you see the Worm Aliens make a brief appearance" — and a three-armed alien named Riza, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson, who appears onscreen in half-live-action, half-CGI. But there will also be some good-guy aliens to balance things out — like the "alien sidekick" Pawny, voiced by The Big Sick actor Kumail Nanjiani, who doesn't seem to be among the terrible creatures Agents H and M will go head-to-head with.

EW couldn't dish up any concrete details on these new characters, but the outlet did offer shots of a handful of the non-evil alien sidekicks that fans will meet in Men in Black: International. The first is an up-close, head-on snap of an alien dressed in a classic Men in Black uniform: black suit, white shirt, simple tie. According to the outlet, whenever an extraterrestrial sports this look, "it means they're indeed an MiB agent."

At least two other alien agents will appear in International, as the second EW-released photo features a male alien with purple skin and sticky blue ridges protruding from his head and a pink-and-yellow-skinned female ET both wearing the agency's signature threads.

Those aliens who aren't on their suit-and-tie game, instead wearing either whatever the heck makes their ET heart (or hearts, you never know what kind of anatomy an alien is hiding) soar or the uniform that another sector of the Men in Black organization has assigned them, could be "supporting staff" of the MiB agents, according to an International film team member "who has been sworn to secrecy." The final photo features one such alien, a grasshopper-looking green guy seen pushing a mail cart.

Take a look at the four alien sidekicks in the photos below.

Not only will Men in Black: International bring brand-new aliens into the fold, but the film will also feature so much freshness, you'd swear you were at Subway. (Alright, alright — lame joke, moving on.) There are the new leading agents, who aren't meant to replace Men in Black legends Will Smith as Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones as Agent K but rather honor them and add another layer of fun to the franchise; the exciting new locations the film will explore, including Istanbul, Italy, and London, where High T (Liam Neeson), the boss of the England-based MiB bureau, resides; and the narrative that turns back the clock and digs into the origins of the Men in Black agency to explain that it "exists in many cities around the world, and maybe even started a century ago."

All this said, both long-time Men in Black franchise loyals and those just keen to see Thor: Ragnarok stars Hemsworth and Thompson reunite for an alien butt-kicking adventure this summer are bound to be satisfied by International.

Also starring Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois, and Emma Thompson (as Agent O), Men in Black: International will open in theaters on June 14.
