The First Trailer For Ocean's 8 Drops Tomorrow

Our first glimpse at Ocean's 8 in action is officially here. Warner Bros. shared a quick look at the film Monday, teasing that the first trailer for the upcoming team-up will be here on Dec. 19.

Ocean's 8 will feature Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, the estranged sister of George Clooney's Danny Ocean from the early 2000s trilogy. (Danny was played by Frank Sinatra in the original 1960 film.) Debbie will recruit an all-star crew to pull off the heist of the century at the star-studded Met Gala, primarily targeting her ex-lover (Damian Lewis).

Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, and Awkwafina fill out the rest of the film's titular eight thieves, and all of them get at least a small moment in the teaser, which is set to Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made For Walking."

Bullock has explained that the movie won't be a reboot, saying that "it's not even a passing of the torch." "It's a parallel story of another family member that was raised in the same family Danny Ocean was and what happens when Debbie steps out of jail with all of these amazing, powerful women," she said.

Richard Armitage, James Corden, Dakota Fanning, Matt Damon, Carl Reiner, and Olivia Munn also appear in Ocean's 8, which was directed by Gary Ross based off a script from Ross and Olivia Milch. The movie has a June 8, 2018 release date.
