Michael has been producing entertainment and digital marketing content for over twenty years. He is a regular contributor to the entertainment sites Screen Rant and Looper and has also written articles for Comic Book Resources and the Blast. In 2020, he began collaborating with transmedia producer Jeff Gomez, CEO of Starlight Runner Entertainment, to develop in-depth articles on creating successful transmedia franchises through effective use of movie, TV, comic book, prose novel, podcast, and other storytelling platforms. The articles are available on his website and include interviews with Michael Monello and Nick Braccia, creators of "The Blair Witch Project" and "Video Palace" as well as Josef Bastian and Stephen Sadler, producers of the Folktellers Universe. Michael joined Looper in 2021 and specializes in creating feature articles on movies, TV, and comic books. He is currently finishing his novel, "Discards: 101 Ways to Die in a Comic Book," scheduled to be released in late 2021.


Michael has a Bachelor's degree in English, a Master's degree in Literature, and a PhD in 20th Century American Literature with a concentration in Children's Lit (he did his dissertation on multiple interpretations of the Wizard of Oz media franchise). All of his degrees were earned at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
