Too Hot To Handle: Are Marvin And Melinda Still Together?

The wide variety of reality TV dating shows these days is impressive. On Netflix alone, there seems to be no TV show premise involving people looking for love that the streaming giant won't try out. Take "Love Is Blind," which centers around people who fall in love without even getting to see their fellow contestants before getting engaged. Or a show like "Love On The Spectrum" where young adults with autism showcase their dating experiences. One of the more outrageous Netflix dating series is "Too Hot To Handle," which flips the script on hook-up culture.

"Too Hot To Handle" takes a bunch of good-looking influencers and forces them to fall in love with people for their personalities, rather than simply their appearances. Hook-ups of any kind are forbidden, with couples on the show being barred from even kissing. The absence of physical intimacy forces each contestant to explore different aspects of attraction and work on bettering themselves. And in traditional game-show format, there is a cash prize at the end — with the pot depleting every time someone breaks the intimacy rules.

Netflix just released Season 3 of "Too Hot To Handle," following two successful seasons. In the time since the show began, we've seen a few contestants find lasting love thanks to the show. One Season 2, one fan-favorite couple was the modeling duo of Marvin Anthony and Melinda Melrose. While they left the show as a couple, fans have been wondering whether or not they were able to make their relationship work.

Marvin and Melinda broke up after Too Hot To Handle

Marvin Anthony took home the $55,000 prize during Season 2 of "Too Hot To Handle" for the emotional growth he showed in his relationship with Melinda Melrose. Their relationship was not without its ups and downs, with typical issues like jealousy coming in the middle. But their on-screen chemistry was undeniable and they seemed to have a really strong relationship when leaving the show.

While fans hoped the couple would stay together, Anthony and Melrose are no longer a couple after their whirlwind romance in Turks and Caicos. Anthony lives in Paris and Melrose in New York City, so the distance during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic made things hard for them. Melrose explained during the Season 2 reunion episode that the pair had a plan to go to Mexico together. However, they got into a fight and Anthony cancelled his flight last-minute. That was the nail in the coffin for their relationship (via Newsweek).

Melrose moved on with her "Too Hot To Handle" co-star Peter Vigilante; the pair implied they were dating in July in a steamy Instagram post. But it's unknown if they're still together as they haven't posted a picture of each other in a while. Anthony, on the other hand, appears to be single these days via his Instagram page. Maybe he'll give reality TV dating shows another shot.
