The Full House Character You Are Based On Your Zodiac Sign

When it comes to family-friendly, easy-watch sitcoms from the '80s and early '90s, few are as well-remembered as "Full House." Since 1987, the series about a widower raising his three daughters with the help of a comedian friend and his late wife's brother has remained in consistent rotation, its laugh track echoing across the living rooms of America, punctuated by the occasional "You got it, dude." Between syndication and streaming rights, the show is all over the place.

The Tanner house was home to lovable characters that audiences connected to week after week, and have continued to do so for nearly four decades. By now, many viewers might know these characters as well, if not better, than some of their relatives.

Knowing the personality traits of Danny Tanner, Uncle Jesse, Becky Katsopolis, Kimmy Gibbler and all the rest as well as we all do, it seemed like a fun idea to map them across the signs of the zodiac which, like any sitcom, breaks the human condition down into clearly-defined characteristics. So, take a moment to think about which "Full House" character you think you most closely identify — then look up your date of birth below and see if the zodiac agrees. Check out the results and see whether we're on target, or if you want to tell us to cut.it. out.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Jesse Katsopolis

Jesse Katsopolis, who originally had a different name entirely, is best known by the affectionate moniker the kids gave him: Uncle Jesse. Even when he gets married and has children of his own, he remains Uncle Jesse in the hearts of audiences. He found his way into those hearts by being funny, charming, self-deprecating, and committed. All are traits associated with the first sign of the zodiac: Aries.

According to astrology experts, individuals born beneath the sign of Aries tend to see themselves as the best. That doesn't necessarily mean they're conceited, though Uncle Jesse certainly has his moments. Instead, they simply believe they are capable of applying themselves to anything and trust that they have what it takes to succeed. That's certainly true of Jesse. He's a musician, which requires a ton of self-confidence. He threw himself into being a radio DJ. Also, he has a very high opinion of his looks, even when sporting a mullet.

Most importantly, it's his commitment to being a father to twin boys that proves he has the confidence and the skills to rise to any challenge. When he and Becky got married, that was a big step for a notorious bachelor with no real desire to settle down. When the twins came, he could have run away. The Aries sign is known for seeing things through, and so he turned himself into the best dad he could possibly be.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Kimmy Gibbler

A sitcom just isn't a sitcom without an annoying neighbor. This role was capably filled in "Full House" by  D.J.'s friend, who often arrived at the Tanner household unannounced, dressed in something loud and colorful, delivering lines that baffled everyone. She also apparently had some rank foot odor.

That doesn't exactly sound like a typical Taurus, who is supposed to "enjoy relaxing in serene, bucolic environments, surrounded by soft sounds, soothing aromas, and succulent flavors." But while Kimmy's tacky fashion sense, and that foot smell, didn't exactly scream luxury, such things depend on one's own personal taste.

At no point did Kimmy appear ashamed of herself, or her appearance. If anything, she seemed very comfortable with who she was. Her tendency to display this comfortability in her own skin could be a form of luxuriating in what she found appealing. Although most folks would be turned off by such behavior, as we would learn in the sequel series "Fuller House," she did wind up snagging herself a husband.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Joey Gladstone

When reading about personality traits associated with the Gemini star sign, the first "Full House" character that comes to mind might just be Danny Tanner. After all, he's got three daughters, a career, and an obsession with cleanliness. The guy's rarely not solving a problem of some kind. If one of the defining characteristics of a Gemini is being so busy you wish you could clone yourself, it'd have to be Danny, right?

Well, consider the plight of one Joey Gladstone. He's a comedian living in a house populated by three girls, a busy dad, and a guy way cooler than him. His career choice requires that he engage with life in order to keep producing material, yet he doesn't date very much or really go out at all. Why? He's too busy trying to find work and helping to look after the Tanner sisters.

There must have been plenty of moments when Joey just wanted to split himself into three separate people in order to give his home life, his career and lacking social life his full attention.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Vicky Larson

Danny Tanner hosted a morning show called "Wake Up San Francisco" alongside the future Rebecca Katsopolis. When she needed to take maternity leave, her temporary replacement was Victoria Larson (played by Gail Edwards). At first, the two co-hosts didn't completely get along. Danny went on several dates after being named Bachelor of the Month, detailing his experiences on the show. This led to Vicky politely criticizing him and his taste in women on the air — which, of course, inspired them to go on a date together. The romance that followed was relatively brief — as Vicky eventually left for a job in Chicago — but it was memorable.

They say that Cancers have a strong intuition and keep themselves fairly guarded. These attributes are demonstrated by her reluctance to take Danny seriously, a need to focus on her career, and the ways in which her maternal instincts kick in around Danny's daughters. From the start, it's established that she doesn't want to mix business and pleasure, preferring to keep her relationship with Danny professional. This is likely a Cancer's attempt to protect themselves from both romantic and professional heartbreak. However, she does end up giving in to her feelings, even if it means having to say goodbye later.

Vicky did return, however, in Season 3 of the 2016-2020 Netflix reboot "Fuller House."

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Stephanie Tanner

Stephanie Tanner is the middle child of the Tanner household. Occasionally overshadowed by her older sister D.J. and burdened by the need to look after her younger sibling Michelle, Stephanie will not hesitate to shine as often as possible. Since D.J. and Michelle tend to divide most of the house's attention, Stephanie stands out by being sardonic and speaking her mind in a way that her sisters don't.

These attempts to keep the focus on her line up perfectly with the traits often associated with a Leo. Believed to enjoy celebrating themselves, Leos like to let the world know they're here and bask in their adoration. Stephanie does this as a necessity, needing to shout to rise above the noise. This characteristic is carried even further in "Fuller House," where it is established that Stephanie performs as a DJ and has adopted the moniker "DJ Tanner" as a subversive attempt to be the more popular DJ in the Tanner family.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Danny Tanner

Danny Tanner has got a lot going on. The first, and most obvious, thing is that he is a widower with three daughters. Being a single dad is difficult under any circumstances, but his situation is tripled. Luckily, he's got his buddy Joey and brother-in-law Jesse to help him out. On top of parent duties, he's got a demanding career as a television personality which keeps him in the public eye. To cap everything off, he also appears to be totally obsessed with cleanliness, which can't be easy in a house with so many people living in it.

How does he make the chaos of his life work? The answer can be found in the astrological sign that best suits him: Virgo. People born between August 23rd and September 22nd are believed to possess the ability to compartmentalize in a way that allows them to approach their lives meticulously. Danny is able to spin so many plates and keep them up in the air because he knows how to approach each task at the appropriate time and with the necessary attention each task deserves. Rarely does he become overwhelmed, and he always seems to know the right thing to say to make every situation better.

Libra (September 23 – October 22): D. J. Tanner

Libras are thought to be fixated on balance. What kind of balance they are seeking likely varies from person to person. However, it is that drive to make sure everything evens out which unites those who are born between September 23 and October 22. As pointed out by astrology expert Aliza Kelly, this attribute makes sense as Libras are represented by the scales.

D. J. Tanner is the oldest of the Tanner girls. Being an older sibling comes with trials of its own, of course, but hers are a little different because her mother passed away before the series began. Played by Candace Cameron Bure, D. J. needs to be someone her little sisters can rely on. She needs to be able to look out for them, even though she'd much rather have her own life. Trying to be there for her sisters while also being her own person is D. J.'s inner quest for balance.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Becky Katsopolis

Originally Rebecca Donaldson, Aunt Becky, as she later becomes known, was introduced to "Full House" audiences as Danny's co-host on the local morning show "Wake Up, San Francisco." After meeting and falling in love with Uncle Jesse, the two get married and start a family of their own. Of course, the house wouldn't be quite as full without them, so the pair move back into Danny's house where they also raise their twin sons Nicky and Alex.

How exactly did Rebecca snag the notorious bachelor Jesse Katsopolis? By being a Scorpio, that's how. Not only is Rebecca friendly and easy to get along with, she doesn't put up with Jesse's baggage. Most women seem to throw themselves at him whenever he's around, but Becky doesn't. Instead, if he steps out of line or puts his foot in his mouth, as he's prone to do, she's not afraid to shut him down. That kind of strategic strike, and openness with others, is what makes Becky both a perfect Scorpio and the perfect spouse for Jesse Katsopolis.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Michelle Tanner

Michelle Tanner was a meme before the internet. Played by the Olson Twins, the youngest Tanner daughter charmed the world with her many facial expressions and catchphrases like, "You got it, dude," and "You're in big trouble, Mister!" Anytime a scene needed a quick laugh, all the directors had to do was cut to Michelle. The character's popularity led to the twins starring in an entertainment empire both during and after the series.

A baby when the show began, over the course of eight seasons, audiences watched Michelle go from being an adorable and convenient cutaway to a fully-fledged character. She demonstrated the sort of curiosity often associated with folks born under the Sagittarius sign. The world is a big and confusing thing to a kid like her, and she wants to know all about it. Plus, she's surrounded by people, all of whom have quirks and habits she doesn't totally understand. So, as annoying as it can be to her siblings, Michelle is destined to always keep asking questions.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Steve Hale

Capricorns are well known for their patience and dedication. To them, life isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. They're in no rush to achieve their goals, instead, they stay the course, understanding that appreciating the process of growth is just as important as the result of growing. One look at D. J.'s boyfriend and one might think, "There's no way that goof is a Capricorn. The guy can't see beyond the fridge!"

Yes, this high school wrestler does tend to prioritize his stomach over life goals, but that could be because he's happy to live in the present. Steve, as played by Scott Weinger (the voice of Aladdin), doesn't fit into the aggro stereotype associated with most jocks on television. He's no genius either, but he is sensitive and kind if a little absent-minded. Maybe he doesn't put everything he's got into studying or training because he's cool with where he is at the moment. He's the captain of the wrestling team and in a committed relationship with someone he loves. Instead of working to get to another level, he's enjoying the present.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Denise Frazer

Being born under the star sign of Aquarius means you like to help people. While that usually means these individuals are considered humanitarians who want to change the world, it can also mean that you're willing to help your friends too, regardless of the consequences or the fallout. That is where Jurnee Smollett's Denise Frazer comes into play.

One of Michelle Tanner's best friends, Denise has always been there to lend a hand. Even though a lot of Michelle's plans might get them into trouble, Denise does what she can to help out. It is often said that an Aquarius is someone who can speak their minds, and while this isn't true of everyone, it certainly is the case with Denise. She's not afraid to speak up when she sees something wrong, joining Joey, Michelle, and Stephanie in protesting Rigby the Rhino for ripping people off. Plus, Little Richard is her uncle.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Comet

This one might seem like a stretch, but following the logic established by astrology experts, it actually makes a lot of sense. Born between February 19th to March 20th, a Pisces is considered to be so empathic and intuitive as to be practically psychic. When it comes to a house filled with humans, all capable of communicating with speech, who needs to be more intuitive than the family dog?

Dogs need to be aware of their owners' moods and adjust to suit them. If someone like Michelle is upset and in need of comfort, Comet can come to her aid. He needs to sense that something is bothering her and she is in need of companionship. Pisces are occasionally known to get lost in their emotions as well. As behaved and sweet as Comet is, he's still a dog and capable of giving into dog impulses.
