SDCC 2026: Marvel Studios Hall H Panel (Live Updates)
For San Diego Comic-Con attendees, Thursday's "Stuart Fails to Save the Universe" was a welcome amuse-bouche, and Friday's "Lanterns" and "The Rings of Power" were quality appetizers, but let's be honest... No other panel at San Diego Comic-Con even begins to approach the magnitude of a Marvel Studios panel in Hall H.
In 2014, before Josh Brolin appeared on-screen as Thanos, he first wore the Infinity gauntlet for Hall H attendees at San Diego Comic-Con. 10 years later, when Marvel was eager to refute the post-"Endgame" naysayers with a big show, Hall H provided the best location possible for Robert Downey Jr's unmasking as Doctor Doom. With "Avengers: Doomsday" due to hit theaters on December 18 of this year, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is surely eager to prove once again that Marvel Studios is firing on all cylinders.
Marvel's presentation, which is widely anticipated to focus on "Avengers: Doomsday," will begin at 5:30 p.m. PT. Our coverage will begin a full hour before. Static Media's Brandon Rowe will be in Hall H, providing Looper with direct reporting on the biggest announcements from Saturday's marquee event.

Another interesting question is whether the studio will attempt to plug any of its upcoming television slate.
If the studio goes this route, "VisionQuest" seems like the obvious choice. The series, which premieres on Disney+ on Oct. 14, is set to conclude a trilogy of TV shows that began with 2021's "WandaVision" and continued with 2024's "Agatha All Along."

"Avengers: Doomsday" is widely expected to be the central focus of the panel, but fans were thrown a bit of a curveball on Monday morning when Marvel Studios opted to simply post the first full trailer on YouTube, nearly a whole week BEFORE the SDCC panel. So, what else could Marvel have in store for fans at SDCC today?
It wouldn't be a total shocker to see a character from the upcoming film appear in costume. Most famously, actor Tom Hiddleston appeared in character as Loki in 2013 in advance of a panel for "Thor: The Dark World." Something similar was repeated in 2022 for Chukwudi Iwuji's debut as High Evolutionary in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3." And most recently, in 2024, David Harbour appeared in Hall H as Red Guardian to introduce the cast of "Thunderbolts."

Another possible project that could be highlighted at this year's convention is the third "Black Panther" film. We already know that Ryan Coogler is directing again and Denzel Washington is set to appear in the movie. Beyond that, we don't know a whole lot about the third entry in this particular series.
However, this film would most likely release sometime after the sixth Avengers film "Secret Wars" is released at the end of 2027, so if anything for it is teased, it will likely be as minimal as cast announcements.

Given the appearance of several Fox Universe X-Men characters in this film, it also wouldn't be a massive surprise if Marvel used today's panel to announce the cast of their still-untitled "X-Men" film, development on which was first announced in July 2019. "Thunderbolts*" director Jake Schreier is set to direct, but we don't really know much about the project yet, beyond rumors and speculation.

In some ways, it might be easier to note the MCU actors unlikely to appear at the Marvel Studios panel. From the 2025 chairs announcement alone, we have 27 confirmed stars of "Avengers: Doomsday," who could appear on stage:

Given the time proximity to the release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" on July 31, it also wouldn't be a big surprise to see the stars of that film appear. Those include:

As always, the first person we can expect to see in this panel is Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige. A producer on every film and TV show of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Feige has regularly appeared at Marvel presentations in Hall H since the film studio's first time at the convention in 2006.
Today's panel is the studio's first appearance in Hall H since 2024, when former "Iron Man" actor Robert Downey Jr. was revealed as Victor Von Doom in "Avengers: Doomsday." That presentation also included the reveal that "Infinity War" and "Endgame" directors Joe and Anthony Russo would be returning to helm both "Doomsday" and "Secret Wars."
Both directors are expected to appear in today's panel to discuss their work over the last two years.

Following our live coverage of the "Star Trek Universe" panel, Apple TV made its Hall H debut with a two-hour presentation featuring some of the streamer's biggest properties. While the streamer made its SDCC debut with two panels in Ballroom 20 in 2022, its elevation this year to Hall H underscores just how much it has grown to dominate genre television in the last four years.
Apple TV opted for a bit of a smorgasbord approach to its presentation. Unsurprisingly, about half of the panel was dedicated to two sci-fi series: "Silo," which is currently airing its third season, and "Dark Matter," which will begin its second season at the end of August. Apple also brought along the hit series "Widow's Bay," which completed its first season on June 17. Cast and crew from all three productions appeared on stage during the presentation. Apple also dropped a surprise in the form of a brief teaser for "Neuromancer," which premieres on January 22.
On the film side, Apple showcased two upcoming action comedy films: "Matchbox: The Movie," starring John Cena and Jessica Biel, and "Mayday," starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh.
