Captain Marvel Set Footage Teases Fight Sequence On Top Of A Train

If Captain Marvel is to best the big bads that try to take her down, she'll have to do it in some pretty unconventional places.

New footage from the set of Captain Marvel shows lead actress Brie Larson preparing for a fight sequence in which she goes head to head with a mysterious man atop a train.

Twitter user P.A. Casas shared a six-second video depicting the actress suited up in her black-and-green costume as she stands in front of a wall of blue screen.  Another account, aaronfraggle, posted four photos showing off different angles of the sequence in question. "Brie Larson shooting a scene for Captain Marvel today in L.A.," the caption reads. "It looks like Carol Danvers is fighting someone on top of a train!"

Given that it's already been confirmed the shape-shifting alien race known as the Skrulls will appear as primary antagonists in the film, it's safe to speculate that Larson's Captain Marvel could be facing off against an extra-terrestrial rather than a flesh-and-blood human in the train-top fight scene.

Take a look at the footage below.

In the past, fans have caught glimpses of Samuel L. Jackson done up as a younger Nick Fury — with hair! and no eyepatch! — as well as the initial round of photos that revealed Larson as Carol Danvers in her sleek costume, inspired by Kree military uniforms, and another short set video that centered on Captain Marvel using her super-human strength to crush the hand of her enemy. This new footage offers another solid affirmation of what the film will entail: plenty of action.

Directed by Mississippi Grind filmmaking duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel also stars Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, and Djimon Honsou as Korath. Ben Mendelsohn and Lashana Lynch hold roles as well, though details on their characters haven't been revealed.

Captain Marvel is set to fly into theaters on March 8, 2019.
