  • In addition to the PsychGeeks book series, Jenna has written comics for Womanthology: Heroic, a prequel for the series The Pretender and has been interviewed for her geek expertise in over a dozen books.
  • Jenna has been playing video games and reading comics since she was a little girl, and has spent her adult years making sure that the powers that be know that women love genre. This includes founding the website Legion of Leia, now at Vital Thrills.
  • Jenna started her career in acting and did makeup for the documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy. She moved into writing and hosting and will probably be jumping out of planes for a living at 80.

Experience

Jenna has been writing for publications like SYFY Wire, IGN, Nerdist, Huffington Post, Birth.Movies.Death., Alamo Drafthouse magazine, Vital Thrills and more. She's been a member of the Critics Choice Association and a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic for over a decade. Jenna co-hosted a web series with the legendary Stan Lee and has appeared in documentaries like Rise of the Superheroes, She Makes Comics, Behind Closed Doors: Star Wars and on NPR, ABC's Nightline, Al Jazeera America, Attack of the Show, What the Flick?! and Tabletop with Wil Wheaton. She's a contributing author and editorial assistant for 11 of the 12 books in the PsychGeeks series including Star Wars Psychology, Joker Psychology and Wonder Woman Psychology and is currently writing two solo books. Jenna has been hosting as long as she's been writing, producing and starring in Moviefone Minute and Most Craved, as well as the Legion of Leia and Histerical podcasts, and has been appearing on and moderating panels at cons all over the country including San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon, LA Comic-Con and more.

Education

Jenna graduated with an acting B.F.A. from Syracuse University, and moved on after playing the role of Evita in several cities. She has a unique appreciation for the work that goes into performance, both in live-action and voice work.
