The untimely passing of Paul Sorvino and Ray Liotta in 2022 has only made their excellent performances in Martin Scorsese's 1990 mob movie "Goodfellas" stand out even more. Sorvino is utterly convincing as local boss PaulieĀ Cicero, a powerful mobster who may seem slow at first, but only because he "didn't move for nobody." Liotta, meanwhile, uses manic energy and an eerily calm temperament to illustrate how his character, Henry Hill, functions while dealing with a chaotic life in the world of organized crime.

"Goodfellas" quickly became a celebrated classic on release, leading to several Oscar nominations and Joe Pesci taking home a best supporting actor statue for his work as unstable thug Tommy DeVito. Since then, "Goodfellas" has been included on several lists of the greatest films ever made, including the "Sight & Sound" poll, as well as the BBC's survey of the best American movies.

If you haven't seen "Goodfellas" yourself yet, here's where you can currently watch it online.

Two major services have Goodfellas available

The good news is that "Goodfellas" is currently available for viewing on two major streaming services right now. If you have a subscription to Netflix, you can watch "Goodfellas" using your account. It's also available to HBO Max subscribers as well, in part because the film's parent company, Warner Bros., also owns the service.

However, if you don't have a subscription to either Netflix or HBO Max, there are always options to rent or purchase a digital copy of the classic crime film. The cheapest option for renting "Goodfellas" at the moment is for $3 via AMC On Demand. Other services, including Google Play, Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, Vudu, theĀ Microsoft Store, Redbox, DirecTV, and Spectrum are asking $3.99 for renting an HD copy of the movie.

If you want to purchase a digital copy of the Scorsese movie, that's going to cost you $14.99 on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube, Vudu, the Microsoft Store, DirecTV, and AMC On Demand. Redbox, meanwhile, asks $16.99 to buy the film. You can also rent or buy "Goodfellas" through physical media such as DVD and Blu-Ray.
