The That '70s Show Episodes Fans Always Skip On A Rewatch

Thanks to the ever-changing catalogs of streaming services, old sitcoms like "That '70s Show" have been able to find new audiences who likely missed the show during its initial run. The Fox comedy aired for eight seasons from August 1998 to May 2006. It follows a group of Midwestern teenagers who live by the 1970s countercultural mantra of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll.

After Fox's oft-forgotten indirect sequel "That '80s Show" failed to take off in 2002, the show is getting a second chance. Netflix is set to revive the series with the spin-off "That '90s Show," which will bring back Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty Forman (Debra Jo Rupp). In anticipation of the upcoming series, some fans have found themselves returning to the Forman's smoke-filled basement in Point Place, Wisconsin.

No matter how much fans love the nostalgia-driven series, they're willing to admit that not every episode of "That '70s Show" is worth rewatching.

That '70s Show fans think you can skip Season 8

On the "That '70s Show" subreddit, fans responded to a prompt asking which episodes they skipped during rewatches. The OP kicked the discussion off with a popular answer: "That '70s Musical." The quirky Season 4 episode features the cast covering songs from groups like Earth, Wind, & Fire and Nazareth and is the only musical episode in the series.

Other fans pointed to uncomfortable episodes like "Eric's Hot Cousin" from Season 4 and "The Promise Ring" from Season 3. Referring to the latter episode, a now-deleted user said that it was "too awkward and painful to watch," as Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon) rejects Eric Forman's (Topher Grace) promise ring.

However, the most popular answer is unsurprisingly everything from the latter seasons. After Grace exited the series following Season 7, the show understandably flopped without its main character. Fans were quick to say the later seasons of the show are less binge-worthy, with some outright saying that you can skip all of Season 8.

"I watch everything until Kelso leaves and they introduce Randy in season 8. Like 4 episodes in I think," wrote one Redditor. "Then I skip until the finale. Seriously f*** Randy and f*** season 8 man."
