The Black Widow Scene MCU Fans Can't Stop Roasting

Marvel's "Black Widow" was a movie beloved by both fans and critics, but that hasn't stopped people from looking back and roasting parts of it — especially one scene in particular.

Like a lot of MCU films from years past, some things in Scarlett Johansson's lone solo outing as Natasha Romanoff are just too funny and absurd to ignore when watching a second or third time around. Now, let's be clear, that doesn't make "Black Widow" a bad movie per se. It's just hard to not laugh at some of the stuff going on in the 2021 action flick.

While out in theaters, "Black Widow" managed to earn over $183 million domestically, making it the fourth highest-grossing movie last year (via Box Office Mojo). It's only the second time ever that a female Marvel superhero has been the star of her own MCU movie. As stated in the reviews, the film is actually something really special for the MCU and to watch, with fellow stars Florence Pugh and Johansson both shining. But still, fans can't help but laugh at this one scene between the two...

This was fun!

Towards the end of "Black Widow," there's a moment between Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff and Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova where the two characters are having a dramatic — albeit, hilarious — exchange right before a giant fake explosion goes off.

"Don't do it!" yells Natasha, as Yelena prepares to sacrifice herself. "This was fun!," Yelena shouts back. To which Natasha replies, "No!," right before Yelena seemingly blows herself up.

Over on Twitter, countless posts have been made roasting the unintentionally funny "Black Widow" scene after it was shared by a user named @HailEternal. "Let's not deny, we all laughed at this," the person tweeted, along with the clip. Her post has racked up over 23,000 likes and retweets. "This is so terrible fr, most of the mcu movies are literally shot like the office," wrote @abdul_thebat in the replies. "Bruh how did she survive that?" asked @FilmsSuperhero. To clarify, @HailEternal later said that despite their "Black Widow" post they actually "really liked" the movie. However, "a chuckle was produced."

"Black Widow" currently has a 79% Tomatometer rating and a 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It can be streamed on Disney+.
