Watch Bill Nye Explain Stranger Things

Bill Nye is here to save the world, and apparently, part of that duty is explaining the plot of the twisty sci-fi show Stranger Things. In a new video, Nye, the former Science Guy who just got his own Netflix series, Bill Nye Saves the World, takes on the role of science teacher Mr. Clarke to explain multiverse theory and, of course, Eggos.

Nye's video stars with a clip of Mr. Clarke explaining the theory of parallel universes to Mike and the other boys. Nye then goes on to further explain multiverse theory, saying, "According to the multiverse theory, the continuous expansion of the universe has produced various pockets of energy that expanded exponentially to create other universes similar, and yet completely different, from our own."

As many, many Bill Nyes begin to appear on screen, he continues to explain that some scientists believe that the universe's rapid expansion actually suggests the possibility of multiverses, something which cosmologists and astrophysicists are still debating. "Mr. Clarke brings up some fascinating points," he concludes. "That said, at the end of the day, my money's on [Eleven] traveling through space and time to be reunited with her Eggos."

Bill Nye Saves the World is currently available to stream on Netflix, while Stranger Things season two, which Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos has promised will be "fantastic," will hit the service this Halloween. In the meantime, see some of the movies and shows you should check out while waiting for more Stranger Things.
