Bill Nye (And Friends) Save The World In First Trailer For His Netflix Series
Bill Nye is ready to teach science to a whole new generation with his new Netflix series.
The streaming service released the first trailer Wednesday for Bill Nye Saves the World, bringing the famous scientist back to the screen in a more modern, socially conscious revival of his 90s kids show Bill Nye the Science Guy. On the show, Nye will be joined by in-field correspondents including supermodel Karlie Kloss, YouTube scientist Derek Muller, Xploration Outer Space host Emily Calandrelli, and comedians Nazeem Hussain and Joanna Hausmann, to explore issues like sex, global warming, GMOs, alternative medicine, and more.
"Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders, or titans of industry," reads the official synopsis (via IndieWire).
The series, one of our TV shows that will blow everyone away in 2017, will also feature a number of special guests, who, according to Netflix, will join Nye for lab demos and "myth busting." Guests include Good Eats star Alton Brown, Project Runway host Tim Gunn, Scrubs stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison, EDM artist Steve Aoki and more.
The 13-episode series will premiere on April 21.
