Why Peggy From Hubie Halloween Looks So Familiar

The new Adam Sandler-led comedy Hubie Halloween premiered on Netflix on October 7. The movie follows Sandler as Hubie Dubois, a man living in the town of Salem who loves Halloween and just wants to help people, but ends up ridiculed by the majority of the town's residents. Hubie has always kept an eye out for trouble in his town, but this time he thinks something really serious is going on. With a strange new neighbor and a criminal from the local psych ward on the loose, people start disappearing, and Hubie is convinced that he is the only one who can save the day.

The comedy has a stacked cast, featuring other great actors like Julie Bowen, Kevin James, and Steve Buscemi, along with Sandler's fellow Saturday Night Live alums Kenan Thompson, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, and Rob Schneider. Along for the ride are a lot of great young actors, including Noah Schnapp from Stranger Things and another you're sure to recognize: Peyton List.

In Hubie Halloween, List plays Peggy, a teenager from Salem who works as an actor at the Halloween haunted house. While List's career is only beginning, she's already had quite a few big roles you can't miss.

Peyton List starred as Emma Ross on Disney Channel's Jessie and Bunk'd

List got her first big role as Emma Ross in the Disney Channel series Jessie, about a girl from Texas (Debby Ryan) who moves to NYC to start her career in showbiz, but instead ends up as a nanny for four kids. Emma is the oldest, with three adopted siblings: brothers Luke and Ravi (the late Cameron Boyce and Karan Brar, respectively), and younger sister Zuri (Skai Jackson). Emma has a love of fashion and forms a bond with Jessie.

After Jessie ended, Disney made a spin-off called Bunk'd, with Emma, Ravi, and Zuri heading off to a summer camp called Camp Kikiwaka. List continued her role of Emma for three seasons, before she left Disney to pursue other, more grown up roles. Her character was written off as having moved to Milan to pursue her dream of becoming a supermodel. Despite losing List, the show continues on, and Disney renewed Bunk'd earlier this year for a fifth season.

List played mean girl Olivia Richmond on Light as a Feather

As promised, List's next big role focused on more adult material, playing Olivia Richmond on the first season of Hulu's Light as a FeatherThe show is based on the book series of the same name by author Zoe Aarsen, originally self-published on Wattpad. Light as a Feather focuses on a group of teenage girls who decide to play the popular sleepover game "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board" at Olivia's Sweet Sixteen birthday party. During the game, new girl Violet (Haley Ramm) makes up detailed stories about the other girls dying in crazy ways. It's all fun and games until the predictions start coming true.

List's character Olivia is a popular and manipulative teenage girl, who unfortunately is the first victim of the curse killing the teenagers, meaning she doesn't survive to appear in the second season. The show has since been canceled by Hulu, and will not return for a third season. After starring on this creepy horror show, Hubie Halloween is likely a nice change for List.

Peyton List plays the strong and unapologetic Tory on Cobra Kai

Most recently, List joined the Karate Kid revival series Cobra Kai. The series features the return of Ralph Maccio's Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka's Johnny Lawrence as they resume their rivalry, opening opposing karate dojos and training new students. List joined the cast for the second season playing Tory, a troubled, headstrong teenager who becomes a student at the Cobra Kai dojo. She develops a rivalry with Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) from the Miyagi-Do Dojo, which culminates in a big fight during the season 2 finale.

The martial arts drama began as a YouTube Original, but has since made the jump to Netflix, where the highly-anticipated upcoming third season will premiere on January 8, 2021. Clearly the streamer has high hopes for the future of the show, as it already renewed Cobra Kai for a fourth season. List's character will be returning for the upcoming season 3.

List is clearly a very capable young actress with a lot of range. As a rising talent in Hollywood, who knows where List's career will take her next?
