Golden Globes 2019: Complete List Of Winners

As predicted, the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards were memorable as ever, the ceremony packed with big wins, shocking snubs, and tons of emotion — both from the actors and directors accepting their golden statues and from fans at home watching as their favorites got (or didn't) the praise they deserved. Hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg and Killing Eve actress Sandra Oh, who wound up earning a Globe for her performance as Eve Polastri on the British-American drama series, the 2019 Golden Globes featured plenty of highs and lows — and we've got the full list of winners (and losers).

Among the night's top winners were Bohemian Rhapsody, the Bryan Singer and Dexter Fletcher-directed Queen biopic that wasn't actually all that well-adored by critics, which took home the award for Best Motion Picture – Drama and earned lead actor Rami Malek a Globe for his turn as the rock band's frontman Freddie Mercury; Green Book, the comedy-drama starring Mahershala Ali as real-life jazz pianist and composer Don Shirley and Viggo Mortensen as Frank "Tony Lip" Vallelonga, that won the Best Motion Picture — Comedy or Musical and Best Screenplay accolades and landed Ali an award for his supporting performance; and Roma, the underappreciated Spanish-language film that earned director Alfonso Cuaron the Golden Globe for Best Director and took home the award for Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language.

One of the most exciting moments of the night happened when Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swung even further into success, thwapping its web onto the Golden Globe for Best Animated Motion Picture. Fellow superhero flick Black Panther was up for Best Motion Picture — Drama, Best Original Song (for "All the Stars"), and Best Original Score, but didn't end up earning any of those awards. However, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star Is Born, and First Man fans will be pleased to know that those three films won in the trio of categories. Sometimes, a film has to walk so other pics can run — and Black Panther was that one on Sunday, January 6.

Two Patricias — Arquette and Clarkson — were also top-earners at that 2019 Golden Globes, the former winning Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie and the latter taking home the Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series, Limited Series, or Television Movie.

In a surprising turn of events, The Kominsky Method snagged the award for Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical, beating out heavy-hitting contenders Barry, The Good Place, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. For his work on the series, Michael Douglas scored the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series — Comedy or Musical Golden Globe, besting Bill Hader (Barry), Donald Glover (Atlanta), Sacha Baron Cohen, (Who Is America?), and Jim Carrey (Kidding).

Elsewhere in the television Globe categories, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story earned two awards — one for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and another for star Darren Criss, who won the Best Actor Globe in that genre category. And though the series she leads didn't get a Globe itself, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress Rachel Brosnahan landed the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Comedy or Musical award, trumping her competition in Kristen Bell (The Good Place), Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown), Alison Brie (GLOW), and Debra Messing (Will & Grace).
