SNL: Everyone Wants Vibranium In Chadwick Boseman Promo

Sorry, Saturday Night Live cast members: Chadwick Boseman doesn't have any vibranium for you. A new promo for the Black Panther star's turn hosting the sketch series features Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, and Kenan Thompson trying to convince Boseman to give them vibranium to help them open a locked studio door. "I can't seem to find it cuz we made it up for the movie," Boseman tells them.

Boseman was announced as the host for the show's April 7th episode last month, alongside musical guest Cardi B. Boseman's Black Panther co-star Sterling K. Brown, who also appears on NBC's hit drama series This Is Us, hosted the show's March 10th episode and appeared in a sketch parodying the Marvel superhero flick, featuring Chris Redd in Boseman's role of T'Challa. Thompson and Leslie Jones also starred in the sketch, which took place in Black Panther's ancestral plane.

Black Panther has been breaking box office records since its February release. The movie held onto the number one spot for five weekends in a row before it was finally unseated by Pacific Rim Uprising. The movie currently holds the title for the highest grossing superhero film of all time, and is the fourth highest-grossing film domestically of all time and the tenth highest grossing worldwide. (via Box Office Mojo)

Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, Martin Freeman, and Michael B. Jordan also star in Black Panther, which was directed by Ryan Coogler based on a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole. The movie, which received a rare A+ CinemaScore from audiences and holds a 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, currently sits at $1.28 billion worldwide. 

Boseman's episode of Saturday Night Live will air at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC on April 7th.
