In an interview with Perri Nemiroff on Collider Extras, List discussed her thoughts on who Tory's father might be. "I have no clue," List said. Internet speculation on Reddit is divisive, and John Kreese, Terry Silver and Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) are all possible candidates. "I don't even know what to believe anymore," List explained in her interview with Nemiroff. "Everyone keeps messing with me, even on set about it. People come up to me, different guys on set will come up to me and say that they're my father. Yeah, and so I don't know what's true anymore."
Despite the absence of a real dad, Tory certainly has a father figure in the most unlikely of characters: John Kreese. What is even more surprising is the level of compassion Tory receives from her rival Sam's (Mary Mouser) mother, Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler). List has her own theory on why Tory and Mrs. LaRusso gel so well. "I think Tory keeps it real, a lot of the time, but I think Amanda does, too," Peyton revealed to Nemiroff during "Collider Ladies Night."
"I think Amanda is one of the few characters who can keep her cool, physically," List continued. "I mean besides the slap, I guess, to Kreese."
