One Chicago Star Appears To Hint At A Crossover With Behind-The-Scenes Photo

NBC fans know Wednesdays need to be cleared for Chicago night, which consists of "Chicago Med," "Chicago Fire," and "Chicago P.D." all airing new episodes, back to back. What's better than that? Well, sometimes these shows have big crossover events, which are always a fun way to excite fans.

"Chicago P.D." is a drama about the Chicago Police Department's elite Intelligence Unit, combating the city's most heinous offenses, such as organized crime, drug trafficking, and high-profile murders. The cast includes Marina Squerciati, Jason Beghe, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton, Tracy Spiridakos, and Rick Eid.

"Chicago Med" is a ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city's newest state-of-the-art trauma center and into the lives of the courageous doctors, nurses, and staff, who hold it all together. The series stars Marlyne Barrett, Nick Gehlfuss, Kristen Hager, Guy Lockard, S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Dominic Rains, Brian Tee, Steven Weber. You might not realize that only four of these actors have been in every episode.

So which cast members hinted at a big crossover for the new season?

Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med stars unite

"First day back and I came to the wrong show. Whoops," Squerciati, who plays Kim Burgess, captioned her selfie with Merkerson and Gehlfuss on Instagram. As if that wasn't enough hinting, she was sure to add some hashtags, specifically, "#chicagomed #crossover #firstday #wereback #chicago #nickgelfuss #onechicago #chihards."

The actress then followed it up with another photo featuring her "Chicago P.D." co-stars, Flueger and Hawkins, assuring fans she found her crew. It was unclear if Hawkins would be returning for Season 11 after the finale cliffhanger, but we finally have an answer!

All three shows, which come from executive producer Dick Wolf, will return on September 21. "Chicago Med" premieres at 8 PM ET, "Chicago Fire" airs from 9 PM to 10 PM ET, and "Chicago P.D." follows at 10 PM ET. In the meantime, we'll be on the edge of our seats waiting for more news about this possible crossover!
