Stranger Things Promo Investigates How The World Turned Upside-Down

Regardless of how Stranger Things season two ultimately shakes out, we're already ready for the coronation of Stranger Things' marketing team, who have been kicking the ball dead-on into the goal with spot after promotional spot. 

It's the sort of marketing blitz that forces you to have an opinion on some culture in the zeitgeist, which could be insufferable, if they weren't doing such a good job.

We've already talked about the inspired recreations of classic movie posters from the 80s that the team has sent out for its #StrangerThursdays Twitter throwback events, but we've also got plenty of new, suggestive posters of our new characters facing new threats.

Now, the promo team has sent out a short video via Instagram, a pseudo-documentary filmstrip teasing the coming season and suggesting that the barrier between this world and the Upside-Down may have been thoroughly eroded between last season and this one. Strange things are happening in the world outside of Hawkins... and it all ties back to Will Byers, the boy who came back to life.

Watch the new spot below, and get excited for season two of Stranger Things, with all the new episodes arriving all at once exclusively on Netflix just in time for Halloween on October 27.
