Star Wars Fans Already Have A Huge Theory About Obi-Wan Kenobi's Reva

Contains spoilers for "Obi-Wan Kenobi" Part I and Part II.

After years of speculation and rumors, Ewan McGregor has finally returned to the "Star Wars" galaxy in his own Disney+ series, "Obi-Wan Kenobi." The first two episodes debuted on Disney+ shortly after airing at Star Wars Celebration, where Disney and Lucasfilm have already revealed plenty of interesting things about the future of the franchise, including a brand new TV series: "Skeleton Crew." But fans around the world have flocked to Disney+ to see McGregor reprise his role as the master Jedi — although the events of "Episode III – Revenge of the Sith" have left Obi-Wan feeling defeated in the face of the Empire.

Not only that, but he struggles with the weight of what happened with Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) on Mustafar, as well as the death of Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman). Although the series finds Kenobi wallowing in his own self-pity on Tatooine while keeping a watchful eye on young Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely), he soon has to leave the desert to go in search of Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) after bounty hunters kidnap her from Alderaan. Those Skywalkers are always in trouble, aren't they?

But it's made very clear in Part II that one of the Inquisitors, Reva (Moses Ingram), orchestrates the kidnapping as a way of catching Kenobi. After all, Jedi simply can't resist trying to help those in need. It's a clever plot, and it works. But "Star Wars" fans already have a huge theory about Reva and who she really is.

Is Reva a former padawan?

Reva is completely obsessed with finding the titular Jedi in the first two episodes of "Obi-Wan Kenobi," and it's clear that she's not afraid to disobey direct orders from the Grand Inquisitor (Rupert Friend) while she tries to track him down. She threatens to murder Owen Lars (Joel Edgerton) and his family, before striking out on her own on Daiyu. But why is she so determined to find Kenobi? Well, fans have a theory that she's actually one of the padawans from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

The series kicks off with a flashback to the events of Order 66, back in "Revenge of the Sith" as the 501st Legion of clones massacre all the Jedi in the Temple. The brief scene focuses on a small group of padawans who try to escape with one of the masters. "Star Wars" fans on Reddit think the padawan who takes charge is actually a young Reva — and this scene is why she's so dedicated to hunting Jedi.

As u/Nanobuds1220 wrote, "What if she was one of the younglings from the Order 66 scene? She may have seen Anakin slaughter everyone."

Meanwhile, u/JSK23 thinks Reva is the one who tells the children to run, adding, "She surely is the one that tells them all to take off and run. There is no other point to show that scene unless another one of the padawans is a character in the series. The most logical reasoning is that one is her."

Hopefully, we'll learn more about Reva in Part III.
