Liam Neeson Goes Off The Rails In The Commuter Trailer

Liam Neeson is about to find himself entangled in another conspiracy aboard a moving vehicle, and no, it's not a sequel to Non-Stop.

There's a new international trailer for The Commuter, Neeson's latest collaboration with Non-Stop director Jaume Collet-Serra, and it sets up the premise for another tension-filled thriller akin to their 2014 movie.

In The Commuter, Neeson plays Michael, an ordinary insurance salesman who gets pulled in over his head while traveling on a commuter train. A mysterious woman (Vera Farmiga) offers him $75,000 if he finds the one person on the train who doesn't belong and does "one little thing." Farmiga's The Conjuring co-star Patrick Wilson also has a part.

It's definitely reminiscent of Non-Stop, in which Neeson played an air marshal on a plane who receives a text that someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred to a specified bank account.

It's also not the first time that Farmiga has worked with Collet-Serra. She starred in his 2009 horror Orphan. The director is in high demand these days. He was a frontrunner to helm Suicide Squad 2, but instead signed on the direct Dwayne Johnson in Jungle Cruise.

The Commuter rolls into theaters on Jan. 12, 2018. Take a look at more movies we can't wait to see next year.
