Matt Casey Won't Be The Only Surprise Guest On Chicago Fire's Season 10 Finale
It was the departure no one saw coming. Jesse Spencer left "Chicago Fire" mid-way through Season 10, bringing an end to Matt Casey's storyline in the drama series. Casey is mentioned from time to time, as he and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) are still a couple who are battling the issues that come with being in a long-distance relationship. Many fans believed Spencer might come back for the highly-anticipated Stellaride wedding, which is set to take place during the Season 10 finale, as Casey promised Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) he'd be his best man. Deadline confirmed the news that Spencer would guest star in the finale, but fans shouldn't expect him to appear in Season 11.
Deadline is also reporting that Gabby Dawson (Monica Raymund) will not be at the Stellaride wedding. Raymund departed "Chicago Fire" after Season 6 but had one-episode appearances in Season 7 and Season 8. Some fans thought Gabby might show up for her close friend Stella Kidd's (Monica Ray Mayo) wedding, but for unknown reasons that won't be happening.
The good news is, we know another special guest will show up for the Stellaride wedding, meaning there is much to look forward to come May 25.

"Chicago Fire" showrunner Derek Haas told Variety that fans can expect someone other than Matt Casey to appear in the Season 10 finale. "The wedding is not going to go as planned. Plus, there'll be at least one surprise guest at the wedding besides Jesse. It became a matter of how many people could we get in one day availability-wise, so we put together a wish list," Haas noted. Co-showrunner Andrea Newman said they tried to get a handful of guest stars for the Stellaride wedding but couldn't confirm how many would be showing up. "We had kind of endless wish list that went on pages, but that being said, we also have all these twists and turns in the wedding itself. People that we wanted to get there might not make it," Newman admitted.
Fans of "Chicago Fire" have been vocal about who they want to appear at the Stellaride wedding. Some of the big names being floated around include Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett), Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh), and Gianna Mackey (Adriyan Rae). There's also hope the Stellaride wedding serves as a "One Chicago" crossover event. Whether "Chicago Med" and "Chicago P.D." characters show up remains to be seen, but we'll be crossing our fingers.
