Liam Neeson Rides With Danger In The Commuter Trailer
Liam Neeson just can't travel in peace.
There's a new trailer for Commuter, his latest collaboration with director Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows), and it sets up the premise for another tension-filled thriller like their 2014 movie Non-Stop.
In the Commuter, Neeson plays an ordinary businessman who gets entangled in an elaborate conspiracy while traveling on a commuter train. A mysterious woman (Vera Farmiga) offers him $75,000 if he finds the one person on the train who doesn't belong and does "one little thing." But it definitely doesn't seem like she wants him to do anything good.
If that all sounds just a little familiar, it's definitely got similarities to Non-Stop. In that thriller, Neeson played an air marshal on a plane who receives a text that someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred to a specified bank account. It's also not the first time that Farmiga has worked with Collet-Serra. She starred in his 2009 horror Orphan.
The director is in high demand these days. He was a frontrunner to helm Suicide Squad 2, but instead signed on the direct Dwayne Johnson in Jungle Cruise.
The Commuter rolls into theaters on Jan. 12, 2018. Take a look at more movies we can't wait to see next year.
