Blade Runner 2049 Gets A Colorful New Poster

The Blade Runner 2049 cast assembles in the colorful new poster for the upcoming film. The movie will take place 30 years after the events of Ridley Scott's original film, introducing a new blade runner in Ryan Gosling's Officer K.

The movie will follow Officer K after he unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what is left of society into chaos. His discovery leads him on a quest to find Harrison Ford's Rick Deckard, a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The poster, which you can view at the bottom of this article, features Gosling and Ford at the forefront, also highlighting Ana de Armas' Joi and Jared Leto's Neander Wallace. As shown in a recent international TV spot, Wallace is the leader of Wallace Corporations, which makes the genetically modified food products that feed people in the future. However, he also appears to be building an army with the goal of taking down mankind.

Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) steps behind the camera for the upcoming R-rated sequel, which is based on a script from the original film's Hampton Fancher and Murder on the Orient Express' Michael Green. Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, Mackenzie Davis, Edward James Olmos, Carla Juri, and Barkhad Abdi also star. Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters on Oct. 6. While we wait, see why the movie will be better than you think.
