Batman Vs. Two-Face Trailer Shows Adam West's Final Batman Performance

The first and funniest iteration of the Caped Crusader will live on in animated form, as Adam West's final performance of Batman is slated to be released this October.

The animated Batman vs. Two-Face features the vocal talents of the late actor alongside original Robin actor Burt Ward, as well as sci-fi stalwart William Shatner playing the villainous Harvey Dent, a.k.a. Two-Face.

A sequel to 2016's well-received Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, the animated adventure showcases a return to the more campy and comical version of Gotham's Dark Knight that West's '60s Batman TV series pioneered. The 88-year-old actor completed his lines for the feature before passing away in June.

Set to be released direct-to-video on October 17, Batman vs. Two-Face should serve as a welcome contrast to any fan weary of the DC Extended Universe's grimdark take on the Caped Crusader. For more on that front, as well as a healthy dose of optimism, check out why Batman's next appearance in November's live-action Justice League may turn out to be better than you think.
