While there have been some bumps in the road to "Dying Light 2: Stay Human" finally being released, critics have responded positively to its intense combat and strong voice acting. Before you spend the next 80-500 hours playing "Dying Light 2," you might want to get to know some of the lovely faces behind this ragtag band of survivors. Here is what some of the cast members of "Dying Light 2: Stay Human" look like in real life.

Rosario Dawson - Lawan

Perhaps the most recognizable name in the new game, Rosario Dawson is a Hollywood hit with credits in films, TV shows, and, of course, video games. When discussing her role of Lawan in "Dying Light 2: Stay Human," Dawson describes her as "a warrior of sorts," which is pretty much in line with the strong characters she usually plays. Fans of "Star Wars" will recognize her as Ahsoka Tano from "The Mandalorian" and her own upcoming solo series, a role she slays with style and conviction.

For those who haven't heard Dawson's name or seen her striking face before, they might want to check their Wi-Fi and/or if they're on the same planet as her, because she's been in the spotlight since 1994, when she made her film debut in the critically acclaimed "Kids." Dawson has since garnered many enviable credits, from singing her heart out as Mimi in "Rent" to saving Matt Murdock in "Daredevil," where she played the recurring character of Claire Temple.

Dawson's Twitter is the place to keep up with her consistently busy professional schedule, the social causes she cares about most, and, of course, occasional selfies and pictures of her daily life.

Peter Brooke - Juan

In addition to his role as Juan in "Dying Light 2: Stay Human," Peter Brooke has quite the impressive list of credits to his name — and a ruggedly handsome look to boot.

As if roles in films like "Wonder Woman 1984" and "The Dark Knight" don't make him appealing enough to fans of pop culture, Brooke has also provided voice performances in video games like "Horizon Zero Dawn," "Forza Horizon," and "Guitar Hero Live."

Fans who like what they see of Brooke and enjoy his performance in "Dying Light 2" may want to keep an ear out in 2022. He will be continuing his work in the "Horizon" franchise, taking on the role of the Brewmaster in "Horizon Forbidden West." Though his super-cool credits and professional work will win over many a fan, what's most heartwarming about Brooke is how much of a family man he is, as evidenced by his wholesome Instagram feed.

Jonah Scott - Aiden Caldwell

Jonah Scott, who voices protagonist Aiden Caldwell, is something of a renaissance man, taking an active role in a number of genres and mediums. Though Scott has been in the voice acting game for only a decade, he's a fan favorite because of some of his more recent roles. Scott voices Legoshi in Netflix's "Beastars" and Tatsu in "Way of the Househusband," two roles that fans have particularly latched onto. Even though he's best known for voicing anime characters, Scott is also a gamer himself, frequently livestreaming on his Twitch channel, where he chats with fans and friends while diving into some of his favorite titles.

In an interview with NME, Scott said that he wanted the role of Aiden so badly that he went to extreme lengths to impress the producers of "Dying Light 2." While recording sample dialogue, Scott took advantage of the chance to quite literally flex his acting muscles. He explained, "When I was doing these in-game efforts I would grab onto this bar and I would have the mic in front of me and I would actually hang from this clothing bar having real physical exertions. As I was doing it I turned on my camera for the dialogue editor, just to show him how dedicated I was." Scott's dedication to his craft won him one of the most prominent roles in the game.
