When Will There Be New Episodes Of Yellowstone's 1883?
Paramount+'s "Yellowstone" prequel, "1883," has certainly started off with a bang: Through five episodes, we've watched the Duttons battle their way through the dangers of the frontier on their journey to Montana — losing plenty of friends and family along the way. The world of "1883" is brutal and unforgiving, and even though the 1st season is halfway over, it's clear the worst is yet to come for the family that would eventually come to own the famous Yellowstone Ranch.
Episode 5, "The Fangs of Freedom," culminated in a brutal shootout between the Duttons and a gang of bandits, ending in the death of a major character and heralding a massive change in Elsa Dutton (Isabel May) as the brutality of the frontier starts to take hold of her. In classic Taylor Sheridan fashion, it's an episode that leaves you itching to see what happens next. Unfortunately, it appears that fans will have to wait a bit longer than usual to see the next episode of the series — since Episode 6 did not air this past Sunday.
Episodes of "1883" will resume this Sunday
Normally, episodes of "1883" are released every Sunday, with the exception of Episode 4, which aired two weeks after Episode 3 to make room for a behind-the-scenes special called "The Road West." It's unclear what the reason for Episode 6's delay is, but we know that it's slated to be released on Sunday, January 30, and from there, the series is supposed to resume its weekly release on Sundays (via Taste of Country).
As per usual, the episode will air exclusively on Paramount+. Right now, it's unclear what exactly the premise of Episode 6 will be, though we can speculate that the episode will focus on the fallout of the climactic shootout in Episode 5 and how that tragedy has changed Elsa forever. For now, the best we can do is sit and wait to see what's in store for the Duttons moving forward.
