Wonder Woman Heads Into Battle In New TV Spot
Themyscira is ready for war in the newest TV spot for DC's upcoming Wonder Woman. The clip highlights more of the film's battle scenes, including one on the shores of Diana's homeland, and gives a better look at Wonder Woman's epic powers.
"I cannot stand by while innocent lives are lost," Diana says at the start of the teaser. "If no one else will defend the world, then I must." Her speech is interspersed with clips of her heading into battle, including one moment showing her leaping through the air and bursting through a window.
The teaser includes the same clip of David Thewlis' mysterious character shown in a previous TV spot, and also includes a number of familiar looking battle scenes. It does feature an extended look at an epic looking conflict with the Amazons and gives another look at Wonder Woman's lightning powers and at the Golden Lasso in action. The trailer also features quite a few explosions and bits and pieces of some intense fight scenes.
The TV spot comes the same day that star Gal Gadot released a new poster for the film, showing Wonder Woman running through the battlefield, on her Twitter. Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, and Danny Huston. The movie was directed by Patty Jenkins based on a script from Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. Wonder Woman will hit theaters on June 2; for now, see some of the Easter eggs you missed in the film's trailer.
