New Castlevania Season 4 Images Have Fans Freaking Out

Based on the influential video game franchise of the same name, Netflix's gothic anime series "Castlevania" has enraptured viewers since the first season premiered in 2017. The show tells its own version of the story of Dracula (Graham McTavish), a powerful vampire who unleashes forces of supernatural vengeance on the people of Wallachia after his wife is killed for being a witch. For three seasons, the show developed its narrative, introducing a bevy of players into the unfurling conflicts, each with their own powers and agendas. And the upcoming fourth season will bring this dark tale to a close.

Ahead of the Season 4 premiere on May 13, Netflix has released a fresh round of stills from the hotly anticipated conclusion to the series. The Netflix Geeked Twitter account released the images, which feature glimpses of characters such as Alucard (James Callis), Carmilla (Jaime Murray), and Isaac (Adetokumboh M'Cormack). The tease should be just enough to satiate the bloodlust of fans who are ready to consume the final season.

Speaking of fans, they were not afraid to express their excitement. Here's what they had to say about the latest batch of images from "Castlevania" Season 4.

Fans are hyped for Castlevania's final season

The release of the latest "Castlevania" Season 4 images caused a flurry of fan response on Twitter. Some were thrilled to see their favorite characters, some were worried about exactly what the final season will bring, and some responded with lookin' eyes emoji energy. But in general, the stills were met with exuberance from the show's fanbase.

Twitter user @DarriagaNicole noted that the suite of images was appropriately intense, writing, "every single shot heightening it's epic factor." Meanwhile, @GuerillaRogue commemorated the occasion with a simple "Lets goooooooo."

Many fans jumped into the comments to sound off on the glimpses they got of their favorite characters. Responding to the fierce still of one of the show's biggest power players, @ShadowGeek2183 wrote, "Because carmilla wasn't scary enough already." User @ManiaMuke was wrapped up in the costumes. They tweeted, "All of it. But especially Striga's armour," along with a Bugs Bunny heart eye GIF. Similarly, @Dustmittens posed a simple question: "Asking for a friend, who do I need to thank for Alucard's deeep V?"

And no matter what aspect of the new images fans felt compelled to respond to, most no doubt could relate to @johnnyjl96, who tweeted simply, "More seasons!!!!!"

Season 4 of "Castlevania" drops on May 13. And when it's over, might we suggest checking out another vampire-themed anime available on Netflix?
