Legion: X-Men Spinoff Series To Premiere In February

If you like comic book adaptations that don't feel much like comic books, FX has got just the series for you. Legion will arrive in February 2017.

Based on the Marvel character of the same name and created by Fargo's Noah Hawley, Legion follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), a mutant diagnosed as schizophrenic at a young age. But the voices in his head might have nothing to do with mental illness. In the comics and on the show, Haller is the son of Professor X, and he shares the same ability to hear the thoughts of others.

Producer Bryan Singer confirmed that Legion takes place in the same universe as the X-Men movies, but he also said "it could exist completely on its own." Watch the latest teaser above.

Although details have been hard to come by, it was recently announced that Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) would play a recurring role, joining Aubrey Plaza, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, and Katie Aselton.

We'll have to wait for a more specific premiere date, but we know it will be out before Logan hits theaters in March. In the meantime, check out the ending of X-Men: Apocalypse explained.
