The Borat White House Infiltration Scene You Didn't See

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Making Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is Sacha Baron Cohen's 2006 social satire. While playing Borat, Cohen's central Asian caricature who speaks a kind of almost-Polish and hails from a town that's actually in Romania, Cohen spends much of the film's 90-minute run time interviewing people and pointing out the hypocrisy and irony of Americans who view other countries as socially and culturally backward.

Thanks to 2020 being the most 2020 it can possibly be, Cohen has returned to arguably his most famous character in the surprise sequel Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery Of Prodigious Bribe To American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan. In case there was any confusion as to whom or what Cohen would be satirizing in the Borat sequel, he penned an article for Time on October 8, 2020 about the dangers of conspiracy theories and the fascists who wield them to control a frightened populace.

The sequel to Borat is focused in part on Borat's desire to give his daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova) away to United States Vice President Mike Pence as a bribe. One scene that did not make it into the final film involves Tutar being ushered into the White House by an unexpected source: OAN.

Borat's daughter and OAN

One America News (OAN) is a favorite of the Trump White House. Trump himself is on record referring to their questions as "nice questions" and favoring them over other news outlets. Naturally, this made them the perfect candidates for Cohen and his team to utilize in the Borat sequel.

In a scene that did not make it into the final cut of the film, Tutar is taken under the wing of White House correspondent for One America News, Chanel Rion. On September 20, 2020, Rion helped usher in Tutar without, according to Cohen in voiceover, "the need for security checks or COVID tests."

The deleted scenes tweeted from the official Borat Twitter account shows previous clips of Rion saying, "major left-wing news media are consistently siding with Latin gangs and cartels" as well as insisting that "we found multiple crimes in Ukraine the Bidens have committed" without any actual, credible sources. The tweet also includes the time Rion asked Trump if he considers the term "Chinese food" racist.

Cohen refers to OAN as "the most rigorous news source in America," and then the deleted scenes show Tutar in the White House press room. Later, she even manages to finagle a conversation with Donald Trump, Jr. The clip closes with Tutar asking Rion, "why is all the fake journalists for the left and none on the right?"

Why, indeed.
