This Was The Most Annoying Character On That '70s Show

That '70s Show has been off the air for over a decade, and since its departure fans still revel in the great characters the sitcom brought us. We got dim-witted Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), curious and love-starved Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), relatable Eric Forman (Topher Grace), witty Donna (Laura Prepon), and Tommy Chong's always enjoyable hippie, Leo Chingkwake. But even with so many lovable characters, there's bound to be a few duds that annoy both the audience and the characters on the show. That's where Donna's dad, Bob Pinciotti, comes in.

Bob was listed as the most annoying character from the show on Thethings.com's article "That '70s Show Characters Ranked From Annoying To Awesome," and we can honestly understand where they're coming from.

Portrayed by actor Don Stark, Pinciotti was a follower of fads who sported the classic '70s permed hair and several polyester leisure suits. The outfits, in particular, deeply annoyed his neighbor Red Forman (Kurtwood Smith). Throughout the series, Red endures many of Bob's annoyances — including the latter's awful singing, reckless landscaping, and hairstyle that Red loathingly compares to a poodle's backside. Red also looks down on Bob for bragging about his service in the war, when he was, according to Red, "only in the National Guard."

That's just Red, of course. It doesn't take much to annoy Red. Red's irritable. In addition to bothering his neighbor in almost every interaction, however, Bob also deeply embarrasses his daughter Donna and openly mocks his devoted wife.

Bob constantly embarrasses his daughter on That '70s Show

Did we mention that Bob and his wife Midge (Tanya Roberts) are nudists who throw nudist parties in their home? They also get a little too romantic in places they probably shouldn't. This includes the inside of Eric's Vista Cruiser and their highly visible backyard hammock where, as a kid, Donna used to read her Nancy Drew books.

So father of the year, Bob is not. What he is, is a hypocrite. Even though he and Midge like to keep things risqué, when he finds out that Eric picked up birth control pills for Donna, he does his best to intimidate the 17 year old rather than talk to Eric or Donna about it. If anyone should be sex positive, it's friggin' Bob Pinciotti.

As if that wasn't enough evidence that Bob is the literal worst, the guy often spouts sexist comments, calls his wife a "maniac," and complains that her suggestion that we should call mail carriers mailwomen is stupid. So while Bob has his endearing moments on the show — like hiring Red when he needs a job — he's also understandably landed the title of most annoying. Hard to argue with the facts, here.
