The Mandalorian S3: What Starfighter Does Bo-Katan Pilot?

Contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian" Season 3 Episode 2, "The Mines of Mandalore"

Like so many other classic "Star Wars" properties, "The Mandalorian" appreciates a fine spaceship. However, the show's general theme of slow but steady change very much extends to space transport, and while Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) starts the show with the incredibly cool Razor Crest, the show has no problems with scrapping the poor ship at the tail end of Season 2.

In "The Mandalorian" Season 3, Din and Grogu are cruising around in a nifty, heavily customized Naboo N-1 Starfighter. Considering the trouble the pair usually gets into, it's anyone's guess whether this unnamed powerhouse will last any longer than its predecessor. In the possible-slash-probable event of the vessel's destruction, it just might be that Din and Grogu will relocate into their next most likely mode of transport: Mandalorian ally Bo-Katan Kryze's (Katee Sackhoff) ship. We've already seen Bo-Katan's cool starfighter in "Chapter 16: The Rescue," but what exactly is her spaceship of choice?

Bo-Katan's Gauntlet is an instant Mandalorian classic

Bo-Katan bursts on the starship scene with a Gauntlet starfighter, officially known as a Kom'rk class fighter/transport. It's a sizeable, yet surprisingly nifty Mandalorian ship that's able to accommodate 24 passengers, and armed to the proverbial teeth with twin laser cannons at the front and back alike. Given that this is Bo-Katan's vessel, it's entirely possible that it packs a whole lot more punch than an average Gauntlet ship — and may very well turn out to have a cool name, as Mandalorian ships tend to.

The Gauntlet starfighter's cool design and hefty size would allow "The Mandalorian" to return back to its early basics, where the downtime aboard the ship was often just as important to the plot as the planetary adventures. Since it appears that Bo-Katan has at least temporarily joined the Mando party, it wouldn't be entirely shocking if some giant Mandalorian monster or another ends up tragically wrecking the N-1, forcing Din, Grogu and Bo-Katan to use the Gauntlet as their base of operations.
