Whatever Happened To Nadia From Chicago PD?

Appearing periodically during the first two seasons of NBC's hit cop drama "Chicago P.D.," Nadia Decotis is introduced as an underage sex worker struggling to make a living on the city's mean streets. Debuting in the 2014 episode "Now is Always Temporary" (per IMDb), she is soon taken under the wing of former Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush). As the next two seasons progress, Nadia and Erin form a strong and lasting bond, due in no small part to the fact that Erin herself had a rough upbringing and run-ins with the law before joining the force.

Eventually becoming the administrative assistant for the 21st District Intel Unit, Nadia finds herself at the center of the show's action, working alongside Lindsay, I.U. head Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati), Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and the rest of the squad. Deciding to pursue a law enforcement career, she enrolls in Criminology classes with plans to one day become a police officer. During this period, Nadia would also appear in two crossover episodes of "Law & Order: SVU." But her future on "Chicago P.D." would be cut tragically short after she is abducted and murdered by the serial killer Gregory Yates (Dallas Roberts) in the episode "The Number of Rats." With her exit from the One Chicago universe taking place in that 2015 episode of "Chicago P.D.," fans may wonder what Nadia's actor has been up to since then.

Stella Maeve, who played Nadia Decotis, has had a full schedule since leaving Chicago P.D.

After Stella Maeve's character Nadia was written out of "Chicago P.D." in 2015, the actress wasted little time before finding roles in a variety of other films and TV productions. In fact, that same year she would star in the feature film "Flipped," playing Nicole Diamond, a young supermodel who finds herself fighting for her life after being trapped upside-down in a half-submerged car.

Also in 2015, the actress would land a major role in "The Magicians," playing Julia Wicker, a star student at Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy. She would play Julia in a total of 65 episodes of the series up through 2020 (via The Magicians Fandom).

Discussing the direct link between her "Chicago P.D." days and "The Magicians," Maeve told CarterMatt.com, "It's actually funny. So Matt Olmstead is the showrunner of 'Chicago PD,' and his wife Dawn Olmstead is [at parent company] NBCUniversal. She was helping [develop] 'The Magicians,' so she stole me from her husband. So I had to leave 'Chicago PD' to do 'The Magicians.'"

At the same time that she was working on "The Magicians," Maeve would take on the role of Lily in 2016's "Long Nights, Short Mornings," as well as playing Brooke in "Take the 10" in 2017, and she joined the series "God Friended Me" as Sophia for a single episode in 2019. More recently, Maeve portrayed Kody in seven episodes of "Mayans M.C." during 2022.
