That '90s Show Fans Are Happy To See Bob Back In The Reboot

Netflix is going all-in on the nostalgia factor, reviving "That '70s Show" with a proper sequel series, "That '90s Show." Fast forwarding 15 years after the original series' finale, the sequel ushers in a new era with a new generation of teenage stoners. Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), the daughter of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon), travels to Wisconsin to spend the summer with her grandparents, Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debro Jo Rupp). During her time in Point Place, Leia bonds with other local teenagers and quickly forms a new group of kids hanging out in Forman's iconic basement.

"That '90s Shows" capitalizes on nostalgia with more than just its name, bringing back nearly the entire roster of characters from "That '70s Show." Of course, Red and Kitty are front and center, featuring alongside their granddaughter in every trailer. Thankfully, the returns don't end there. Joining Grace and Prepon in reprising their roles are Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Wilder Valderrama, Tommy Chong, and Don Stark.

Interestingly enough, fans couldn't contain their excitement for Stark's return as the Forman's dimwitted neighbor, Bob Pinciotti.

Bob is back!

Once the news of Don Stark returning as Bob Pinciotti hit the "That '90s Show" subreddit, fans couldn't contain their excitement to see the Forman's hilarious neighbor come back to television. U/upstatedreaming3816 conveyed their emotions in the simplest way possible, saying, "BOBBBBBBB!!!!!!!" Other fans, like u/Sir_toolman and u/ChaplainAsmodai1978, stated their love for Bob and praised the news of his return in the Netflix series.

Unlike most fans, u/Round-Leg-1788 thought about the in-universe details of Bob's return to Point Place, saying, "[It] will be interesting to see the difference in grandparenting style between him and Red." We can't forget that Bob is also Leia's grandfather, and based on their character differences, they will definitely have different approaches to raising her.

U/SlashdotDiggReddit brought up that fans, unfortunately, won't get to see Bob and Midge reunite on screen due to the heartbreaking death of Tanya Roberts in 2021. Many fans replied to the initial comment, expressing their sadness. u/DrewwwBjork suggested the show put on an emotional scene between Bob and Red to give fans a summary of Bob and Midge's off-screen marriage. The moment would also further cement the strong friendship between the two grandpas, regardless of what Red wants people to believe.

Needless to say, "That '90s Show" fans only want the best for Bob and can't wait to see him in the Netflix revival.
