Who Plays Reece In The Sex Lives Of College Girls?
Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, "The Sex Lives of College Girls" premiered on HBO Max in November of 2021. The comedy follows four students at the elite Essex College — soccer player Whitney Chase (Alyah Chanelle Scott), naive Kimberly Finkle (Pauline Chalamet), wannabe comedy writer Bela Malhotra (Amrit Kaur), and wealthy Leighton Murray (Reneé Rapp) — as they navigate their first year at college. For its focus on a distinct foursome and their love lives, Chalamet has compared "The Sex Lives of College Girls" to "Sex and the City."
Season 1 ended with plenty of cliffhangers, including Bela starting a women's comedy magazine and Leighton coming out to Kimberly. Following the Season 2 premiere on November 17, 2022, "The Sex Lives of College Girls" has begun teasing plot lines that will run through the sophomore season and has begun introducing some new characters.
The first two episodes see the girls contending with the vengeful brothers of Theta Pi Delta, who are a little salty at the foursome for threatening their frat's charter. Here's who plays embattled Theta member Reece.
Colton Tran plays Reece in The Sex Lives of College Girls
For Season 2 of "The Sex Lives of College Girls," Colton Tran has joined the series as Reece alongside a group of new Theta cast members. Reece is pissed off at the girls (and usually shirtless), but he's willing to participate in Bela's campus strip show — I mean, a sex-positive, female-forward striptacular — if it means Theta can get back on the school's good graces following the Season 1 cheating scandal.
Tran has been working as an actor, director, and editor for over a decade. In 2014, he appeared in the Disney Channel movie "Cloud 9," and he's also known for his roles in "Grown-ish," "GLOW," and the horror film "Nocturne." Behind the camera, Tran has directed a number of shorts and music videos, including the web series "What's Next For Sarah" starring his friend Jennette McCurdy. He's also helming a number of projects in various stages of production, including "Snow Falls," "Sketch," and "The Bell Keeper" (via IMDb).
It's unclear what's in the cards for Reece in the upcoming episodes of "The Sex Lives of College Girls," but his co-star Spencer Neville joked that the shirtless uniform is here to stay, despite the chilly Vermont temperatures. "Literally every promo pic I was sent is shirtless," he wrote on Instagram, "so thanks @thesexlivesofcollegegirls & @hbomax for making my nipples an eventual household name!"
