Dreadful Trailer Released For A Series Of Unfortunate Events Season 2
Another miserable episode in the unlucky lives of the Baudelaires is here for your perusal, and the sad truth is that things got worse. Things got so much worse!
After announcing the return date for the series with a short teaser, Netflix has released a full trailer for the second season of its Lemony Snicket adaptation A Series of Unfortunate Events. Check it out for yourself up above.
The rather meta trailer once again sees Neil Patrick Harris' Count Olaf directly addressing the audience like the sinister charmer that he is, inviting viewers to a more villainous, more treacherous, and overall quite dreadful season two.
The series, which has already been renewed for a third season, is based on a series of 13 children's books about the orphaned Baudelaire children, who have to stick together to survive while under the "care" of the villainous Count Olaf. Olaf, a relative to the children, wants nothing more in the world than to kill them, see them killed, or suffer any other sort of miserable fate that would result in his receiving their inheritance. Every family's got a joker like this one, right?
The second season will adapt material from the fifth through the ninth books in the series, with two-part episodes covering the unfortunate events depicted in The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, and The Carnivorous Carnival. The episodes will be directed largely by Barry Sonnenfeld and Bo Welch.
In addition to Neil Patrick Harris as the lead antagonist, A Series of Unfortunate Events stars Patrick Warburton, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, K. Todd Freeman, and Presley Smith. The series will return to Netflix on March 30th — don't be caught without your skull drill.
