Experience

Sam began writing as a child in the hills of North Carolina, where there was nothing else to do. Since then, he's taught film for Duke's Talent Identification Program and has become a founding member of The Solute. When he's not busy with that, you can probably find him most evenings curled up in front of the Criterion Channel.

Education

Sam has a BA in English with a minor in Film Studies and Curricular Certificate in Creative Writing from Sewanee: The University of the South; he's also a certified copyeditor through UC San Diego Extension.
