  • Melissa has been a panelist, moderator, and speaker at various events over the past decade. Some highlights include hosting the world premiere of CBC/Netflix series "Anne with an E," moderating a conversation with Maria Bamford during JFL42's ComedyCon in Toronto, and moderating a panel of women working in the film and TV industry that was presented by Knix, the revolutionary Canadian undergarment brand.


Melissa Girimonte is a TV critic, writer, digital media producer, and podcaster. In 2008, she founded, a website that covers TV from a female perspective. Since then, she's covered everything from pop culture conventions and industry events to press junkets and set visits across North America. It was through this work that she discovered her passion for showcasing and elevating the voices of women working in the TV industry, and launched Fem TV, an interview series podcast that celebrates women in television. Melissa also freelances in the entertainment and lifestyle spaces, working with Food Network Canada, HGTV Canada and Slice.


Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts in English from York University in Toronto, and completed post-graduate programs in radio broadcasting and social media marketing.
