Are Adam Sandler And Jennifer Aniston Friends In Real Life?

Adam Sandler has made a career by producing and starring in one major motion picture after another. The "Saturday Night Live" alum and comedian launched Happy Madison Productions in 1999, and the company has since produced nearly 50 movies (via IMDb). One of those films was "Just Go With It," in which Sandler co-starred with Jennifer Aniston as a fake married man who learns love is in the familiar.

Though Aniston had her break-out role on the seminal '90s sitcom "Friends," she has since gone on to star in dozens of films throughout her career, from "He's Just Not That Into You" to "Cake" (per IMDb). She also rejoined Sandler in the Netflix mystery-comedy "Murder Mystery." Their second collaboration was successful enough that an upcoming sequel has been planned.

While Aniston and Sandler seem rather chummy and clearly work well enough together that they're ready to do it for the third time, fans might wonder if the duo are as close in real life as they appear on screen.

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are like family

Amazingly, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have known each other for longer than the public has even been aware of them. The two met while they were still in high school and have been friends ever since (via E! News). "I knew I was going to be friends with her," Sandler added. "I didn't know I was going to be making movies with her. We both didn't know that; we were young, and we didn't have jobs quite then."

The two became close after Aniston dated a friend of Sandler's, and that friendship has continued into both of their highly lucrative film careers. With this knowledge in mind, it's more surprising that the duo has only worked together a couple of times, especially considering that both actors had breakout roles on NBC shows.

"We must have been real family in another life," Aniston said of their bond. If skeptical fans think this closeness is just a ploy for the cameras, they've got another thing coming. Though Aniston missed out on Sandler's extravagant Bat Mitzvah for his daughter Sadie, she still sent a very generous present for the occasion. "She sent one of the best gifts Sadie received out of everybody," Sandler said. "$1.8 million."

If she's willing to spend that kind of money on a gift for his daughter, that's a pretty good indication that the two are definitely close.
