Which Sopranos Episode Is Wong Watching In She-Hulk Episode 4?

Everyone has to have the means to escape now and again, even superheroes. Kamala Khan, aka "Ms. Marvel," loves a good convention. As revealed in the earlier episodes of "She-Hulk," the titular hero's cousin Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) winds down by bartending on the beach. However, one hero that struggles more than most is Wong (Benedict Wong), who came back for more than a cameo this week after attending the trial of The Abomination (Tim Roth). The Sorcerer Supreme enlists the legal help of Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) after it's discovered that a stage magician is abusing the mystic arts for profit.
As it turns out, with such trivial matters being piled onto the protector of both the known and unknown universes, Wong's chill-out method is the same as the rest of us mere mortals — a good old-fashioned TV binge. However, it seems Wong is a bit behind the times in his watchlist when it's revealed that he's making his way to what many believe to be the greatest TV show ever made, HBO's "The Sopranos."
Wong is watching the shocking Sopranos episode, Long Term Parking
During his unwanted visit from a dimension-hopping party girl, Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim), the Sorcerer Supreme (*bows*) has his new favorite show spoiled when she drunkenly reveals this is the episode where an essential character is killed. Episode 12 of Season 5, "Long Term Parking," is one of the most impactful chapters in the show as it saw the execution of a longtime character, Adrianna (Drea De Matteo). Like many other deaths in David Chase's masterpiece, this one was a real shocker, so fans of the show would have undoubtedly felt for Wong having such a significant moment ruined.
Tarnished time with critically-acclaimed TV shows aside, this marks another inclusion of a real-world element from our universe finding its way into the MCU. The most recent one was Jen watching "Ally McBeal," which the show's producers confirmed was a big inspiration for "She-Hulk," which also starred MCU founding film star Robert Downey Jr.
In the case of "The Sopranos," the cast list of the hit show hasn't made any appearances in this ever-expanding world, but the recent movie set before it hosts a trio of stars that, if seen by inhabitants of Earth-616, might break a few brains in the process.

Released in 2021, "The Many Saints of Newark" followed Michael Gandolfini — son of James Gandolfini — as he took on the role of Tony in his early years. Coincidentally, some of the other cast in the film also spent time in the world of blips and giant green rage monsters before and after the film's release. The most recent one was Vera Farmiga, who plays Tony's mother, Livia, as well as Kate Bishop's (Hailee Steinfeld) in Disney+'s "Hawkeye." In the case of Tony's Uncle Junior, he was played by Corey Stoll, who also happened to be the first foe to take on Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in "Ant-Man."
Finally, there's one major player among "The Many Saints of Newark" that, while they may not have joined the MCU just yet, have already encountered two characters that recently shifted over from the Netflix verse they were a part of. Appearing in the prologue to "The Sopranos" as Tony's father, Johnny Boy was brought to life by preferred Punisher, Jon Bernthal. Of course, after Rosario Dawson's slip-up about Frank Castle making his way to the MCU (via Collider), it's still not confirmed if Bernthal will return to the role the same way Charlie Cox reprised his former frenemy, Daredevil. If he does, and Wong becomes a dedicated completionist to "The Sopranos," we anticipate he'll end up blaming Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for yet another tear in reality.
